Question :–

If 36 trousers of equal sizes can be stitched with 64 meters of cloth. What is the length of the cloth required for each trouser?

Answer :–

  • The cloth required  \tt = 1.78m

Given :–

  • If 36 trousers of equal sizes can be stitched with 64 meters of cloth.

To Find :–

  • Length of the cloth required for each trouser.

Solution :–

Let the length of the cloth required be \sf x.

 \mathbb {ATQ,}

 \implies \sf 36x = 64

 \implies \sf x = \dfrac{\cancel{64}}{\cancel{36}}

 \implies \sf x = \dfrac{\cancel{32}}{\cancel{18}}

 \implies \sf x = \dfrac{16}{9}

 \implies \sf x = 1.78 【approx.】

Therefore,

The cloth required  \tt = 1.78m
