Ans:- 3a+ 4b = 16 and ab = 6 (given)

= (3a + 4b)^2 = 9a^2 + 16b^2 + 24ab

= (16)^2 = 9a^2 + 16b^2 + 24 × 6

= 9a^2 + 16b^2 = 256 - 144

therefore 9a^2 + 16b^2 = 112
