Given f(x)= 3x2-5x+2
αβ=c/a
or, αβ=2/3......(i)
α+β=-(b)/a
=5/3
Now, (α+β)2=(5/3)2
α2+β2+2αβ=25/9
α2+β2=25/9-2αβ
α2+β2=25/9-2(2/3) {From eq (i)}
so,α2+β2=13/9
Therefore α2+β2 =13/9
αβ=c/a
or, αβ=2/3......(i)
α+β=-(b)/a
=5/3
Now, (α+β)2=(5/3)2
α2+β2+2αβ=25/9
α2+β2=25/9-2αβ
α2+β2=25/9-2(2/3) {From eq (i)}
so,α2+β2=13/9
Therefore α2+β2 =13/9
