Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

  • 3x + 2y = 5xy
  • -x + 3y = -9xy

To Find -

  • Value of x and y

Now,

By Elimination method :-

⇝[ 3x + 2y = 5xy ] × 1

[ -x + 3y = -9xy ] × 3

⇝3x + 2y = 5xy

-3x + 9y = -27xy

_____________

⇝11y = -22xy

⇝x = -1/2

Now,

Substituting the value of x on 3x + 2y = 5xy, we get :

⇝3(-1/2) + 2y = 5×-1/2×y

⇝-3/2 + 2y = -5y/2

⇝-3 + 4y/2 = -5y/2

⇝-5y - 4y = -3

⇝-9y = -3

⇝y = 1/3

Hence,

The value of x is -1/2 and y is 1/3

Verification :-

  • 3x + 2y = 5xy

⇝3(-1/2) + 2(1/3) = 5×-1/2×1/3

⇝-3/2 + 2/3 = -5/6

⇝-9 + 4/6 = -5/6

⇝-5/6 = -5/6

LHS = RHS

And

  • -x + 3y = -9xy

⇝-(-1/2) + 3(1/3) = -9×-1/2×1/3

⇝1/2 + 1 = 3/2

⇝1 + 2/2 = 3/2

⇝3/2 = 3/2

LHS = RHS

Hence,
