9x^2 +16y^2
= (3x-4y)^2 +2xy
Now we will put the value of 3x-4y as 10 and xy as -1 in
(3x-4y)^2 +2xy

= (10)^2 +2 (-1)
= 100 -2
= 98.

So,9 x square+ 16 y square equals 98.

YoYoSPSingh: From where 2xy come?
allysia: I just added it. ... if you solve that equation you will againget 9x^2 +16y^2
allysia: So they are just the same thing writen in different manner
allysia: Still confused??
mmcian: yes i m not getting
mmcian: answer is 76
allysia: (3x-4y)^2 +2xy = 9x^2 + 16y^2 -2xy + 2xy is the same thing as 9x^2 +16xy... so we can write it in that form to find it's value
allysia: Still doubts?¿?
