Answer:

let 3x+y=11---(1)

4x+3y=10---(2)

adding eq (1) and(2)

3x+4y=11

+4x+3y=10

=7x+7y=21

dividing both side by 7

7x/7+7y/7=21/7

x+y=3

If 3x + 4y = 11 , 4x + 3y = 10 then the value of x + y = 3

Given :

3x + 4y = 11 , 4x + 3y = 10

To find :

The value of x + y

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Write down the given system of equations

The given system of equations are

3x + 4y = 11 - - - - - (1)

4x + 3y = 10 - - - - - (2)

Step 2 of 2 :

Find the value of x + y

Adding Equation 1 and Equation 2 we get

3x + 4y + 4x + 3y = 11 + 10

⇒ 3x + 4x + 4y + 3y = 21

⇒ 7x + 7y = 21

⇒ 7( x + y ) = 21

⇒ x + y = 21/7

⇒ x + y = 3

The value of x + y = 3
