If 3x – 4y + 12 = 0 and 3x + 2y – 6 = 0, then area of triangle formed by the given lines and x-axis is (in sq. units)

Put y=0 in the equation 3x-4y=-12 we get 3x=-12 , x=-4 ... Area of the Δ AOB= 1/2 x b x h =1/2 x -4 x 3=-6 sq units.
