3x+4y=4 ⇒ x=4-4y÷3

put the value of x in second equation

5x-3y=26 ⇒ 5(4-4y÷3)-3y=26

20-20y-9y=78                          (by multiplying 3 on both side)

-29y=78-20

y=78-20 ÷ -29

y = - 58/29

y = -2

put y = -2 in x = 4-4y÷3

x = 4-4(-2)÷3

x = 4+8÷3

x = 12/3 ⇒ 4

use these values of x and y to find 2x+4y

2x+4y=2(4)+4(-2)=8-8=0

so

the value of 2x+4y = 0
