from equation 1

2x=1+5y

$x = \frac{1 + 5y}{2} .......................3$

by putting the value of x from equation 3 in equation 2

$\frac{2x}{x - y } = 4$

2x=4(x-y)

2x=4x-4y

4y=4x-2x

4y=2x

$4y = 2( \frac{1 + 5y}{2} )$

$4y = \frac{2 + 10y}{2}$

$8y = 2 + 10y$
