if 3x-5y=1 , 2x/x-y=4 then find the value x+y. ​

2x-5y=1.................1

\frac{2x}{x - y}  = 4...................2

from equation 1

2x=1+5y

x =  \frac{1 + 5y}{2} .......................3

by putting the value of x from equation 3 in equation 2

 \frac{2x}{x - y }  = 4

2x=4(x-y)

2x=4x-4y

4y=4x-2x

4y=2x

4y = 2( \frac{1 + 5y}{2} )

4y =  \frac{2 + 10y}{2}

8y = 2 + 10y
