Question

  • 3x + 5y = 13 and 7x - 2y = 3. find the value of x and y

Answer

  • Value of x =1
  • Value of y=2

Given

  • 3x+5y=13
  • 7x-2y=3

To Calculate

  • Value of x and y

Explanation

  • 3x+5y=13_________(1)
  • 7x-2y=3_________(2)

On multiply eq 1 by 2 and eq 2 by 5

2(3x+5y=13)

➩ 6x+10y=26________(3)

5(7x-2y=3)

➩ 35x-10y=15_______(4)

On adding eq 3 and 4

6x+10y=26

35x-10y=15

____________

41x = 41

x= 41/41

x=1

Putting x=1 in eq 3

6x+10y=26

➩ 6×1+10y=26

➩ 6+10y=26

➩ 10y=26-6

➩10y=20

y=2

\bf\underline{\underline{\blue{SOLUTION:-}}}

  • Value of x =1
  • Value of y=2
