Given that ,

3x = 5y

X = 5y / 3

putting the value of y now..

5 y / 3 + y = 80

5y + 3y / 3 = 80

8y = 80 × 3

y = 30

Heya !!!

X + Y = 80 -----(1)

3X = 5Y --------(2)

From equation (1) we get,

X + Y = 80

X = ( 80 - Y ) ------(3)

Putting the value of X in equation (2)

3X = 5Y

3 × (80 - Y ) = 5Y

240 - 3Y = 5Y

5Y + 3Y = 240

8Y = 240

Y = 240/8 = 30

Hence,

Value of Y is 30.
