so we get,

9x + 18y = 12xy

9x + 8y = 7xy

using elimination method, we finally get it as,

10y = 5xy

10 = 5xy/y

    = 5x

10/5 = x

therefore x = 2

substituting the value of x = 2 in any of the 1st two equation we get,

3x + 6y = 4xy

3(2) + 6y = 4(2)y

6 + 6y = 8y

6 = 8y- 6y = 2y

6/2 = y

therefore y = 3
