Answer:

let start it

Step-by-step explanation:

3x+8y=11--(i)

5x+2y=12--(ii)

multiply equation (i) by 5 and equation (ii) by 3:-

15x+40y=55--(iii)

15x+6y=36--(iv)

subtract equation (iii) by (iv)

34y=19

y=19/34

put the value of y in equation (i)

3x+8(19/34)=11

3x+152/34=11

3x=11-152/34

3x=(374-152)/34

3x=222/34

x=222/34*3

x=74/34

x=37/17

3x +8y =11 (i) eqution 5x+2y=12 (ii) eqution From i eqution =3x+8y= 11 3x=11-8y x=(11-8y) ÷3 (iii) eqution put the Value of x in (ii) eqution 5x+2y =12 5(11-8y)/3 +2y =12 55-40y /3+2y =12 we get LCM from eqution 55-40y+6y= 12×3 55-34y =36 -34y =36-55 y=-19÷(-34) y= 0.55882 put the Value of y in (iii) eqution x=11-8x x=11 -0.55882 x= 10.4411764
