Thanks for A2A!
Rearranging the equation we get,
3x-12=y
which equals to
1/y=1/(3x-12)
Now,multiply both sides by x
x/y=x/(3x-12)
8x/2y=4x/y=4x/(3x-12)
Rearranging the equation we get,

8x/2y=4x/y=4x/(3x-12)

Heya Mate!!!
3x - y = 12
3x = 12 + y
x = ( 12+y/3)__(1)eq
8x2y
put the eqn (1) in the given
= 8 × ( 12+y)/3 × 2 × y
AFTER SOLVING THAT WE GET..
=> ( 192y + 16y²) / 3 = 0
=> 192y + 16y² = 0
=> 16y (12 + y) = 0
=> 12 + y = 0
=> y = -12
if we put the value of y in eqn (1)
we will get, the value of x = 3
Hope it helps you out ♥️
