If 3x10-3 J of work is done in moving a particle carrying a charge of 15x10-6 C from infinity to a point P, what will be the potential at the point P?

We know that,

Potential Difference= work done/quantity of charge moved

i.e   V=W/Q

Now, given:    W=3x10⁻³ J

                       Q= 15x10⁻⁶ C

        so, Potential at the point P = 3x10⁻³ J/15x10⁻⁶ C

                                                       = 0.25x10³ J/C
