The year 1987 is an ordinary year (365 days) and the year 1988 is a leap year (366 days)

The starting date is 3rd November 1987  

Ending date is 4th April 1988

Odd days are the extra days in a month other than complete weeks.

For example, in January, there are totally 31 days, 4 weeks

($4 \times 7=28 \text { days }$)+3 odd days.

The no of odd days between the two dates is:

(i) 1st January  1988 to 4th April 1988 = no of odd days in (Jan, Feb, May, April)

 = 3 + 1 + 3 + 4 = 11 days
