If 4 g of NaOH dissolves in 36 g of H20, calculate the mole fraction of each component in the solution.
Also, determine the molarity of solution.​

Answer:

4g NAOH = 4/40 = 0.1 mole

36g H2O = 36/18 = 2 mole

Mole fraction of NAOH,

 =  >  \frac{0.1}{0.1 + 2}  = 0.047

mole fraction of H2O,

1 - 0.047 = 0.953

Total mass of solution = 40g

volume of solution,

 \frac{mass}{sp.grvity}

=> 0.040 L

H2O=1*2+16

=18

40*4=160

18*36=648

648\160=4.05
