x^3-x^2-14x+24=(x+4)(x^2-5x+6)
=(x+4)(x-2)(x-3)

p (x)=x^3-x^2-14x+24
=>(-4)^3-(-4)^2-14×(-4)+24
=>-64-16+56+24
=>80-80
=>0

Hope this helps
