81 is the number if 4 is subtracted from the cube root of any number then it becomes 5.

Given:

If 4 is subtracted from the cube root of any number, it becomes 5

To find:

Number =?

Solution:

The number from which the cube root is subtracted is taken as N

Now the question says 4 is subtracted from the cube root of N i.e.

\sqrt{N}-4=5

Shifting the number 4 to the other side of 5

\sqrt{N}=5+4

Adding five and four we get nine. Square of 9 = 81

\sqrt{N}=9 ; \quad N=81

After shifting the root to the other side it becomes square thereby, square of 9 = 81

Therefore, the value of the number whose square root subtracted by 4 gives 5, is N = 81.
