Answer:

given polynomial is

p(x) = x² -x -( 2 + 2k)

since , -4 is a zero

so,

p( -4) = 0

=> ( -4)² -(-4) -( 2 + 2k) = 0

=> 16 + 4 -( 2 + 2k) = 0

=> 20 = 2 + 2k

=> 20 -2 = 2k

=> 18 = 2k

=> k = 18/2

=> k = 9

so,

the value of k is 9.

.

I hope it will help you!!.
