Solution:

Now to find the value of p in $4^{p}=8^{6}$  , we equate the numbers in the base now p can’t be equal to 6 as the bases are different therefore change the base of 8 and 4 to 2, we get $2^{2 p}=\left(2^{3}\right)^{6}$

So the value of p will be $\bold{2^{2 p}=2^{18}}$  

Now the base are equal hence p can be equated to the power.

Therefore, by equating the values of p, 2p = 18

p = 9
