Given:

4(x + 3) - 3(x - 1) = 19

What to find?

We have to find the value of x.

How to find?

First remove and solve the brackets and next rearrange the like terms i.e number and variables and then take variable to LHS or RHS and take number to the other side.

Solution:

4(x + 3) - 3(x - 1) = 19

Remove the brackets,

⇒ 4x + 12 - 3x + 3 = 19

Arrange the terms,

⇒ 4x - 3x + 12 + 3 = 19

Solve the terms,

⇒ x + 15 = 19

Take 15 to RHS,

⇒ x = 19 - 15

Subtract 15 from 19,

⇒ x = 4

So, the value of x is 4.
