let p and q be present age

p - 4 / q - 4 = 5 / 6
=> 6p -24 = 5q -20
=> 6p - 5q = 4 ----------------- (1)
according to question :-
p + q = 52 ------------------(2)
from equation 1 and 2 we get
6p - 5q = 4-------------× (1)
p + q = 52 ------------ × 5
=>
5p - 5q = 260
=> 11p = 264
p = 24
and q = 52 -24 => 28
hence ,
★ p = 24 , q = 28 years★
