Then, cost of 1 metre =727.5/x .......(i)

And cost of 40 metres of cloth is Rs1940

Then, cost  1 m cloth =1940/40......(ii)

So, from (i) and (ii) we get

727.5/x = 1940/40

==>727.5*40 = 1940*x

727.5*40/1940

=15
