To Find : Value of x  

Solution:

40x  = 29x² - 19²

=>  29x² - 40x -  361  = 10

x = ( -(-40)  ± √(-40)² - 4(29)(-361) )/ 2(29)

=> x =  (  40   ± √1600 + 41,876 )/ 58

=> x =  (  40   ± √43,476 )/ 58

=> x =  (  40   ± 208.51 )/ 58

=> x =    248.51/58  ,  -168.51/58

=> x = 4.28  , -2.905

if 40x  = 29²  - 19²'

=> 40x = (29 + 19)(29 - 19)

=> 40x = 48 ( 10)

=> x = 12
