Answer:

The numbers are 37 and 29

Step-by-step explanation:

The question statement is not so clear.

But still I am answering.

Let the greater number is x and smaller is y.

x>y

Then according to the question statement,we can form two equations

2x - 45 = y \\   \\ 2x - y = 45 ...eq1\\ \\ 2y - 21 = x \\  \\  - x + 2y = 21...eq2 \\  \\ 2x - y = 45 \\  - 2x + 4y = 42 \\  -  -  -  -  -  -  \\ \\  3y = 87 \\ y =29  \\  \\ 2x - 29= 45 \\  \\ 2x = 45+29 \\  \\ x =  \frac{74}{2}  \\  \\ x = 37 \\  \\

So, those numbers are 37 and 29.

Hope it will help you.

Numbers are  37  & 29   if 45 Subtracted from twice of Greater results in smaller & 21 Subtracted from twice of Smaller results in Greater

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say Greater number = G

& Smaller Number = S

45 is subtracted from twice the greater of two numbers results in Smaller Number

2G - 45 = S

=> 2G - S  = 45   Eq1

21 is subtracted from twice the smaller of two numbers results in Greater Number

2S - 21 = G

=> 2S - G  = 21    Eq2

Eq1 + 2 * eq2

=> 2G - S  + 4S - 2G  = 45 + 2 * 21

=> 3S = 87

=> S = 29

2G - S = 45

=> 2G - 29 = 45

=> 2G = 74

=> G = 37

Numbers are  37  & 29
