Answer:

150,180,and 150

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the values of 1/2 rupee, 1/4 rupee and 1/10 rupee coins be Rs. 5x, Rs. 3x and Rs.x respectively (in accordance with the given ratio).

Now the number of coins is

= (Value of the coin) /(the total amount summing up all the coins present)

So no of 1/2 rupee coins=5x/(1/2)=10x

The no of 1/4 rupee coins=3x/(1/4)=12x

The no of 1/10 rupee coins=x/(1/10)=10x

By given data in question;

10x + 12x + 10x = 480

=> 32x=480

=> x=15

So, no of 1/2 rupee coins is 10x=(10×15)=150

No of 1/4 rupee coins is 12x=(12×15)=180

No of 1/10 rupee coins is 10x=(10×15)=150

So the required numbers of coins are 150, 180 and 150 respectively.
