In the above Question , the following information is given -

4x² + 9y² = 13 and xy = 1 .

To find -

Find the value of 2x + 3y.

Solution -

4x² + 9y² = 13

=> 4x² + 9y² + 12 = 13 + 12

=> 4x² + 12 + 9y² = 25 .

Now , xy = 1.

So,

=> 4x² + 12xy + 9y² = 25

=> ( 2x )² + 2 ( 2x )( 3y ) + ( 3y )² = 25

=> ( 2x + 3y ) ² = 25

=> 2x + 3y = | 5 | .

This is the required answer .
