4x+2y=16

and

6x-2y=4

4x+2y=16

=>2(2x+y)=16

=>2x+y=8 ______i

6x-2y=4

=>2(3x-y)=4

=>3x-y=2 ______ii

Solving both i and ii

y=2x-8

substituting value of y in ii

3x-(2x-8)=2

=>3x-2x+8=2

=>x=2-8

=>x=-6

The value of x is -6

substituting value of x in i

2(-6)+y=8

=>-12+y=8

=>y=20

The value of y is 20

So the value of y-x is

20-(-6)

=20+6=26

Therefore the answer is 26
