by remainder theorm  -

p(x) = 4x^2 - 6x - m

g(x) = x - 3

zero of x-3= 3

p(3) = 4 * 3^2 - 6 * 3 - m = 0

4*9 - 18 - m = 0

36-18 - m = 0

18 - m = 0

-m = -18

m = 18
