Given, the points A(5,2),B(3,4) and C(x,y) are collinear i.e., A−B−Cand AB=BC 

∴ B is the mid-point of AC.

By section formula,

(2x+5,2y+2)=(3,4)

⟹2x+5=3 and 2y+2=4

⟹x+5=6 and y+2=8

⟹x=1 and y=6

Hence, the coordinates of C are (1,6
