Answer:

5(2x+1)=3(x-3)

10x+5=3x-9

10x-3x=-9-5

7x=-14

x=-14/7

x=-2

successor means the number+1

x^2=(-2)^2=4

4+1=5

Answer:

Successor of a number is 1 more than that number.

So, Successor of x² will be 1 more than x²

i.e. x² + 1.

So, from the equation given in question,we have to find the value of x²+1.

5(2x + 1) = 3(x -3 )

 =  > 10x + 5 = 3x - 9

 =  > 10x - 3x =  - 5 - 9

 =  > 7x =  - 14

 =  > x =  \frac{ - 14}{7}

 =  > x =  - 2

So, squaring both sides, we get:

 {x}^{2}  =  {( - 2)}^{2}

 =  >  {x}^{2}  = 4

Adding 1 to both sides, we get:

 =  >  {x}^{2}  + 1 = 4 + 1

 =  >  {x}^{2}  + 1 = 5

And, Hence,

 \huge {  \boxed{ \texttt{5  \: is \: the \: answer}}}
