Answer:

The 4th vertex is (6,2) .

Step-by-step explanation:

The vertices of the ║gm are (5,6) , (1,5) , (2,1) & let the 4th vertex be (x,y).

                                                 A    ,    B  ,   C                                           D

In a ║gm the diagonals bisect each other so the midpoint of the diagonals will be same.

⇒ Diagonals AC & BD will have common midpoints .

⇒ ((\frac{5+2}{2} , \frac{6+1}{2}) = (\frac{x+1}{2} , \frac{y+5}{2})

(\frac{7}{2} , \frac{7}{2}) = (\frac{x+1}{2} , \frac{y+5}{2})

\frac{x+1}{2} = \frac{7}{2}  ,  \frac{y+5}{2} = \frac{7}{2}

⇒ x + 1 = 7 , y + 5 = 7

⇒ x = 6 , y = 2

∴ The 4th vertex is (x,y) = (6,2).
