Answer:

The value of 2 × 5 = 73

To find:

2 x 5 = ?

Solution:

Given

If we look in to the pattern of given multiplications

5 × 9 = 144

7 × 8 = 151

4 × 6 = 102

The first two digit of the answer is the sum of the two digits in question and last digit is the difference of two digits in question.

The addition of 5 and 9 = 14 will be the first two digits while the difference between 5 and 9 is 4 i.e. the last digit resulting into answer of 144.

Similarly, the addition of 7 and 8 = 15 while the difference between 7 and 8 is 1 resulting into answer of 151.

5 x 9 = 5 + 9, 9 – 5 = 144

7 × 8 = 7 + 8, 8 – 7 = 151

4 × 6 = 4 + 6, 6 – 4 = 102

Hence, 2 x 5 = the addition of 2 and 5 = 7 will be the first two digits while the difference between 2 and 5 is 3 i.e. the last digit resulting into answer of 73 as under:

2 × 5 = 2 + 5, 5 – 2 = 73 is the final answer.
