hi mate...

given. -5 is a root..

therrfore.

2(-5)^2 + b(-5) - 15=0

50-5b-15=0

35-5b=0

35=5b

b=7..

now the equation is..

2x^2+7x -15

now.

2x^2+10x-3x -15

2x(x +5)-3(x+5)

(x+5)(2x-3)

now equate it to 0

we get..

2x-3=0

x=3/2

the other root is 3/2..

hope it helps ..and happy holi.
