if -5 is a root of the quadratic equation 2x^2+px-15=0 and roots of p(x² +x)+k=0 are equal roots,then find the value of p and k

-5 is the root of eqn...so put x = -5 in 2x^2+px-15=0

u will get p = 7

now  2nd eqn is ,......7x^2+7x+k=0

 it is given that roots r equal , therefore D = 0

b^2-4ac=0

49-28k=0

k=7/4
