❍ Let's consider the number be x .

Given that ,

  • If 5 is added to the square of a number , then the result is 14 .

Then ,

  • 5 + square of assumed number = 14

Or ,

  • \sf{ Equation \:Formed \:= 5 + x^{2} = 14 }\\

\underline {\frak{\star\:Now \: By \: Finding \: the \:  \: Values \:of\:x\::}}\\

:\implies \sf{ Equation \:Formed \:= 5 + x^{2} = 14 }\\\\ :\implies \sf{  5 + x^{2} = 14 }\\\\ :\implies \sf{   x^{2} = 14 -5 }\\\\ :\implies \sf{   x^{2} = 9 }\\\\ :\implies \sf{   x = \sqrt {9} }\\\\\underline {\boxed{\pink{ \mathrm {  x = 3\: }}}}\:\bf{\bigstar}\\

Therefore,

  • The number is x = 14

Therefore,

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀\therefore {\underline{ \mathrm { Hence,\: The \:number \: \:is\:\bf{14}\: }}}\\
