Given:-

3 {x}^{2}  + mx - 2

Now:-

f-(-x) (x+2=0 or x= -2)

x= -2

Substituting x= -2:-

3 \times  { - 2}^{2}  - 2m - 2 =  - 5

 = 3 \times 4 - 2m - 2 =  - 5

= 12-2m-2= -5

= 10-2m= -5

= 2m=10+5

2m= 15

m =  \frac{15}{2}

m=7.5
