Correction in the question:

If 5 is the zero of the polynomial

f(x) = ax^2 + (2a + 1)x - 5 then value of a is?

Answer

Zero = 5

p (x) = ax^2 + (2a+1)x - 5

p (5) = 25a + 10a + 5 - 5 = 0

=> a = 0
