let Length = l cm

breadth ( b ) = 40 cm

height ( h ) = 2.5 cm

Capacity of the tray = volume of the molten

mixture poured in the tray

l × b × h = 5 litre

l × 40 × 2.5 = 5 × 1000 cm³

[ Since 1 litre = 1000 cm³ ]

l = ( 5 × 1000 )/( 40 × 2.5 )

l = 50 cm

Therefore ,

Length of the tray = l = 50 cm
