if 5<x<10 and y=x+y, what is the greatest possible integers of x+y? details plz

Ans.

Here y = x + 5,

Given that 5 <x <10.
Then 10 <y <15.

Adding we get
15 <x+y <25.

Hence the greatest possible integer is 24.

Swarup1998: 0, 1, 2, ..., 24, 25 are all integers.
But it is stated that x+y must be integer but less than 25. So the integer less than 25 is 24. Hence the possible integer is 24. Got it?
