Correct Question:-

  • If  \sf { - 5}^{m + 1}  \times  { - 5}^{5}  =  { - 5}^{7} then find the value of m.

Solution:-

 \sf { - 5}^{m + 1}  \times  { - 5}^{5}  =  { - 5}^{7}

 \sf \implies { - 5}^{m + 1}  = \frac{ { - 5}^{7} }{  -{5}^{5} }

 \sf \implies { - 5}^{m + 1}  = { - 5}^{2}

Comparing base,

 \sf \implies m + 1 = 2

 \sf \implies m  = 1

Hence, the value of m is 1.

Answer:-

  • The value of m is 1.
