Solutions :-

Given :
5 men or 7 women can earn ₹875 per day.

Find the 4 men's one day earning :-

5 men = ₹ 875
∴ 1 man = ₹875/5 = ₹175
∴ 4 men = ₹(175 × 4) = ₹700

Find the 10 women's one day earning :-

7 women = ₹875
∴ 1 women = ₹875/7 = 125
∴ 10 women = ₹(125 × 10) = ₹1250

Earning of 4 men and 10 women = ₹(700 + 1250) = ₹1950

Hence,
4 men and 10 women can earn ₹1950 per day.

The question asks to find daily earnings of 4 men and 10 women by providing the data containing the details of earnings by 5 men and 7 women per day.

Solution :

Given that, 5 men or 7 women can earn ₹875 per day

So, earning of 5 men per day

= ₹875

earning of 1 man per day

= ₹(875 ÷ 5) = ₹175

Also, earning of 7 women per day

= ₹875

earning of each woman per day

= ₹(875 ÷ 7) = ₹125

Now, earning of 4 men per day

=₹(4 × 175) = ₹700

and earning of 10 women per day

= ₹(10 × 125) = ₹1250

Hence, the total earning by 4 men and 10 women

= ₹(700 + 1250) = ₹1950
