Here it is given that  5 workers can do a work in 48 days

We have to find the number of days 24 workers will take to do the same work

Let the number of days taken by 24 workers be 'x'

We have to use the unitary method to find the value of 'x'

Days taken by 5 workers = 48

∴Days taken by 24 workers = x

x=\frac{48}{24} \times 5

x=10

So, 24 workers will do the work in 10 days.

Let the number of days taken by 24 workers be ' $x$ '

As we know that,

Total \:work=total \:day\times number\:of \:men

So,

Total work done by 5 worker in 48 days will be,

=48\times 5 = 120\:unit

Hence, total days taken by 24 workers to complete the same amount of work will be  

$$\begin{array}{l}x=\frac{48}{24} \times 5 \\x=10\end{array}$$

Hence, 24 workers will do the work in 10 days.
