5(x - 3) -4(x - 2)=0

5x - 15 - 4x + 8 = 0

x - 7 = 0

x = 7

Hope it helps

Question:-

  • If 5(x- 3)- 4(x-2) = 0, the value of x is

Steps:-

  1. Observe the linear equation carefully.
  2. Carefully note the quantity you need to find out.
  3. Divide the equation in two parts, i.e., L.H.S. and R.H.S.
  4. Figure out the terms containing constants and variables.
  5. Transfer all the constants on the Right Hand Side (R.H.S) of the equation and variables on the Left Hand Side (L.H.S.) of the equation.
  6. Perform the algebraic operations on both sides of the equation to get the value of the variable.

Answer:-

5 ( x- 3 ) - 4 ( x - 2) = 0

➨ 5x - 15 - 4x + 8 = 0

➨ 5x - 4x = 0 - 8 + 15

➨ x = 0 + 7

➨ x = 7

Value of x is 7.
