if 5 x+4y=13 and 4x+5y=14 find the value of (x-y)​

Given Equations are

\rm :\implies\:5x \:   + 4y  \:  =  \: 13 \:  -  -  - (1)

and

\rm :\implies\:4x \:  +  \: 5y \:  =  \:14 -  -  - (2)

On Subtracting equation (2) from equation (1) we get

\rm :\implies\:5x + 4y - (4x + 5y) = 13 - 14

\rm :\implies\:5x + 4y - 4x - 5y =  - 1

\rm :\implies\:(5x - 4x) + (4y - 5y) =  - 1

\rm :\implies\:x \:  -  \: y \:  =  \:  - 1
