mass = 500g = 0.5kg

time = 50 sec

acceleration= 980cm/sec² = 9.8m /sec

we know that

work done = force *time

also work done = energy

that's why

energy = Force * time

= Mass *acceleration*time

= 0.5kg* 9.8 m/sec²*50sec

= 24.5 N m

= 24.5 Joule

Answer:

ergs

Explanation:

From the question,

Given that,

Mass = 500g \\\\Time = 50 sec\\\\Acceleration= 980cm/sec^2

distance D = vt + \frac{1}{2}at^2\\

Where D is the distance

v is the initial velocity

a is the acceleration

t is the time

and,

initial velocity = 0

Distance =

d = vt + \frac{1}{2}at^2\\\\d = 0 + \frac{1}{2}980(50^2)\\\\d = 490(2500)\\\\d = 1225000m

We know that

Work done = Force X Distance

also,

Work done = Energy

So,

Energy = Force X Distance

= Mass X Acceleration X Distance\\\\\\= ma.d\\\\= 500g X 980 m/sec^2X1225000m\\\\= 1.2X10^{12}\\\\= 1.2X10^{12} ergs.

Hence, a new unit of energy is egrs.
