if 5a = 3125 then a = 3125/5 = 625
now let's put the value of a in 5(a-3)
5(625-3) =5*622 = 3110

5^(a) = 3125     ⇔     5^(a) = 5^(5)
⇒ a = 5.
∴ 5^(a - 3) = 5^(5 - 3) = 5^2 = 25

so D option is correct

i hope it will help you
