Given :

The zero of the polynomial is = 5

Polynomial = f(x) = ax²+(2a+1)

To Find :

The value of a.

Solution :

Put x = 5

ax²+(2a+1)

a(5)²+(2a+1)

= a(25)+2×a+1

=25a+2a+1

=27a+1

Consider 27a+1 = 0

27a=-1

a = -1/27

a =  -  \frac{1}{27}

Putting x = 5 and considering the polynomial equal to 0 .

ax²+(2a+1) = 0

a(5)²+(2a+1) = 0

a(25)+2×a+1 = 0

25a+2a+1 = 0

27a+1 = 0

27a=-1

a = -1/27

a =  -  \frac{1}{27}
