The cost of salt costing 5 per kg is :

5 × 5 = 25

The cost of salt costing 4 per kg is :

3 × 4 = 12

The total cost = 12 + 25 = 37

The total kgs is :

5 + 3 = 8kgs

The average cost of the mixture per kg :

37/8 = 4.625
